COVID-19 Policy

What will be different this year, due to Corona?

During this year’s festival, Rewire will have a Covid-19 safety policy in place. This means that some things will work a little different than usual:

To visit the ticketed programme (taking place at PAARD, Korzo, Koninklijke Schouwburg, Theater aan het Spui, and Lutherse Kerk) you will need to exchange your e-ticket for one wristband to access all those venues. In order to receive this wristband you will need to present proof of vaccination, proof of recovery, or a negative test result (Testen voor Toegang). You can present these using the CoronaCheck app together with a valid ID.

Within the above mentioned venues, the audience can let go of the 1.5m social distancing, but please note all concerts are seated and all rooms have fixed seats. You are supposed to remain seated during the concert, but you are allowed to go to the bar for a drink or go to the toilet. From Saturday on, we are also able to allow late entrance to all of the concerts.

For the free programme, social distancing of 1,5 meters is required. You don’t need to present proof of vaccination, proof of recovery, or a negative test result.

Before you visit the festival, please make sure you are healthy (even when fully vaccinated) by walking through our Corona Health Check.

What is Rewire's COVID-19 policy?

I am visiting from abroad, do I have to self-quarantaine?

The rules vary, depending on which country you are visiting from and if you are visiting from inside or outside of the EU/Schengen region. At the moment, a five day self-quarantaine is mandatory for people visiting from "very high risk" countries outside of the EU or Schengen region. Please note that this also includes the UK. This requirement also applies even if you have been vaccinated. You must be able to show a completed, printed and signed quarantine declaration.

EU/Schengen residents:
If you wish to enter or return from the EU/Schengen area to the Netherlands to visit Rewire 2021, check these points before you travel.

Non-EU/Schengen residents:
If you wish to enter or return to the Netherlands from outside the EU/Schengen area, check these points before you travel.

EU-resident: Entry with a COVID Certificate (DCC) or negative test result via Testing for Entry

To attend the Rewire festival you need to present a COVID Certificate (DCC), with proof of vaccination, recovery or negative test result. Your national authority is in charge of issuing this certificate. The digital version (available in your native language and in English) can be stored on a mobile device and generates an (international) QR-code. Citizens can also request a paper version with a QR code. Find out more about the DCC here. The QR-code will be scanned at the Ticket Office, when you collect your wrist band.

For international visitors within the EU, if you do not have a valid Digital Corona Certificate, you can get tested at Testing for Entry (choose English).

Please email us at pr@rewirefestival.nl for questions about this.

Non-EU resident: you must present a negative test results issued via Testing for Entry

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 regulations, we cannot accept or scan certificates/QR-codes issued both digitally & printed by countries outside the EU. In order to access the festival, non-EU residents* have to present a negative test result issued via Testing for Entry (Testen voor Toegang). You are required to present your negative test result using the CoronaCheck app at the Rewire Ticket Office.

Make an appointment on Testenvoortoegang.org (choose English).

Please note, there is only one test location in The Hague, located at Werf 15, which closes at 6 pm daily. You need to make an appoint via Testenvoortoegang.org with your phone number and email address to get tested. The result will take maximum 2 hours to process.

If you have any questions about this, please email us at pr@rewirefestival.nl

* The following Non-EU countries can present a COVID Certificate (DCC), with proof of vaccination, recovery or negative test result: Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.

I don't have a smart phone. How can I obtain my valid COVID Certificate (DCC) with QR code?

EU-residents

If you are unable to present a digital DCC because you don't have a smart phone, all EU-residents can also present a printed version of your DCC with a scan-able international QR-code. This also applies to residents from  Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.
Please note that you have to obtain this QR-code in your own country of residence. The ways of obtaining this QR-code may vary per country. Please check with your local authorities and obtain your QR-code before you travel to the Netherlands. |

If you don't have a DCC, you have to present a negative test result issued via Testing for Entry (Testen voor Toegang). You can ask for a printed copy via coronacheck.nl . To obtain your COVID Certificate, use the code you receive with your negative test result. Enter this code on the website  to create your COVID Certificate in the form of a printable QR code. You then show this QR code together with a valid ID at the PAARD ticket office.

Non-EU residents

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 regulations, we cannot accept or scan certificates/QR-codes issued both digitally & printed by countries outside the EU. In order to access the festival, non-EU residents have to present a negative test result issued via Testing for Entry (Testen voor Toegang). You are required to present your negative test result using the CoronaCheck app at the Rewire Ticket Office in combination with a valid ID. T

Make an appointment on Testenvoortoegang.org (choose English).
