For the past 15 years and change, the raving sounds of singelihave been rocketing through the streets of Dar Es Salaam at a blistering 180 bpm. No longer an underground style, it has become a major force in Tanzanian pop music and Bamba Pana is one of its most famous and extreme sons. Ahead of his Rewire 2019 set with singeli’s first ever MC, Makaveli, we enlisted Bamba Pana for the first of our new Rewire Podcast series. Coming in at a mere 30 minutes, the mix serves up an exhilarating blast of original singeli fire and a teaser of what’s to come.
