Travel & Accommodation

Connectivity: The Hague and other Dutch cities

Trains run frequently throughout the day from Den Haag Centraal and Den Haag Hollands Spoor (HS). After midnight, hourly night trains depart from Den Haag HS, connecting you to Amsterdam, Utrecht, Rotterdam, Leiden, and Schiphol Airport.

Train tickets are valid from 00:00 on the travel date until 04:00 the following morning. You can travel with NS (Dutch Railways) by purchasing either a single-use chipcard or an OV-chipkaart at the ticket machines. The OV-chipkaart can also be used for local transport within The Hague, and to rent an OV-fiets at NS stations for €4.80 per day.

Travel from Schiphol Airport

Schiphol’s train station is located directly beneath the airport, offering a smooth connection to The Hague. To travel with NS (Dutch Railways), you can purchase either a single-use chipcard or an OV-chipkaart from the ticket machines. The OV-chipkaart can also be used for local public transport once you arrive in The Hague.

Direct trains to Den Haag Centraal or Den Haag Hollands Spoor (HS) run about four times per hour during the day, with a travel time of approximately 30 minutes. At night (after around 01:00), a night train departs once per hour, departing from Den Haag Hollands Spoor (HS).

For up-to-date schedules and travel information, visit the NS website.

What is the best way to get around at the festival?

All festival locations are situated in the heart of The Hague and are easily reached on foot. The city also offers excellent cycling infrastructure for those wishing to move quickly between venues.

If you’re based in the Netherlands, we recommend renting an OV-fiets for convenient travel between locations – available for €4.80 per day, and €9.80 per day after the first three days. A personal OV-chipkaart is required. Check out this page for more information.

Most of Rewire 2026's venues are within walking distance of each other, and it shouldn’t take you more than a quick stroll to get from one to the other. Koninklijke Schouwburg and West Den Haag can be reached by taking tram 16 from Central Station to the Korte Voorhout stop. PAARD is located above the Grote Markt tram stop (accessible by the 2, 3, 4, and 6 trams from Central Station). Laak can be reached by the 1 and 16 trams to the Leeghwaterplein stop. You can find information about each of the Rewire 2026 locations on our Venues page. To give you a quick overview, there is a handy map.

Planning to visit us by car?

Please note that The Hague’s city centre is largely pedestrian-friendly, with limited car access and expensive parking options. For both ecological and practical reasons, we encourage visitors to make use of the city’s extensive and reliable public transport network whenever possible.

If travelling by car is necessary, the following car parks offer the most convenient locations:

Central to Festival: Grote Markt
Nearby Festival: Stadhuis
Nearby Centre: City Parking
