Rewire 2026 line-up complete

12 Mar 2026

Rewire is happy to share the completed line-up for its 15th anniversary edition, taking place from 9 to 12 April. Today's announcement includes the full context programme, film programme, and 25 new artists and projects, thus completing the programme. With this announcement, the festival looks ahead to a weekend of exploratory and adventurous music in The Hague, presenting its most extensive programme to date. A limited number of Thursday Passes and tickets for Rewire x Laak, as well as Plus Tickets for Einstürzende Neubauten and Oneohtrix Point Never are still available via rewirefestival.nl/tickets

Context programme

Rewire is excited to announce its context programme, taking place at The Grey Space in The Middle, Page Not Found, West Den Haag, Amare, and The Hague’s city centre. Situated around its music and performance line-up, Rewire’s context programme aims to open a space for collective reflection, and to bring the various practices of its artists into conversation with one another. Revolving around the politics and poetics of staging sound, further listening, times and territories, and instrumental ecologies, each day – through conversations, lectures, audio walks, workshops, and listening sessions – will examine different listening positions and forms of sonic sensibility in times of ongoing war, colonialism, and environmental collapse. Nearly all of Rewire's context programme is accessible for free, meaning a Rewire festival ticket is not required for entry. Read more about the context programme.

Film programme

Rewire’s film programme intersects with and ponders upon the festival’s overarching themes of staging sound, further listening, times and territories, and instrumental ecologies – with a particular focus this year around the latter two themes. The programme returns to Filmhuis Den Haag for daily screenings of films which touch on urgent ideas around ecologies, tradition, and sounding including: Gianluca De Serio and Massimiliano De Serio's Canone effimero, which is a delicate documentary that focuses on the craftsmanship of a type of Calabrian bagpipe; Krakatoa by Carlos Casas, which is a sonic investigation into eruptions from the so-named volcano, linking two generations of accounts through stunning abstract vocals; and many more. Read more about the film programme here.

Canone effimero by Gianluca De Serio, Massimiliano De Serio
Joy Boy: A Tribute to Julius Eastman by Mawena Yehouessi, Fallon Mayanja, Rob Jacobs, Victoire Karera Kampire, Paul Shemisi, Anne Reijniers
Krakatoa by Carlos Casas
She Boars by Elsa Brès
The Seasons by Maureen Fazendeiro
To Use A Mountain by Casey Carter

25 new artists and projects added

Today, Rewire announces 25 artists and projects joining its programme, among them is a stunning audiovisual collaboration, Lucy Railton with Charlie Hope & Rebecca Salvadori ‘Not A Word From Me,’ which builds on over a decade of creative exchange and friendship between the three artists, resulting in a generous and engulfing environment where sound, gesture, image, and light entangle intimately. Electronic musician Matthew Herbert and drummer-vocalist Momoko aka Herbert & Momoko perform music from their soulful, elastic collaboration of house-inflected grooves, live improvisation, and lush, expansive arrangement. Rhythmanalyst, writer, musician, and curator DeForrest Brown Jr. also joins the line-up, performing his ‘Synoptic Audio’ piece under his own name, and again in a live show as Speaker Music. Tony Bontana – also performing at the festival as part of Everything is Psychedelic – brings a set of his untethered hip hop, while Slikback feat. maltdisney & Tasya present ‘Friction,’ a live AV show of monolithic dance percussion and cyberpunk visuality.

Rewire 2026 also presents a number of acts dabbling in electroacoustic invention and the reinterpretation of traditional instruments, including: the vocal ensemble XTC in the XIV; cellist Violeta García; artist Clément Vercelletto’s sculptural sound piece ‘L'Engoulevent’; and Abdullah Miniawy Trio – the project of Paris-Based Egyptian composer, writer, and singer Abdullah Miniawy, whose voice takes on multiple roles in the music: from humble witness to loud crier of truths to angelic song-weaver. Creating a breakneck and hyperactive fusion of noise, punk, hardcore, and psychedelic rock, Tokyo-based band GEZAN join the line-up. The experimental pop of vocalist, producer, and composer YATTA also joins the programme, as well as New Delhi artist Sijya – who draws from her inner monologues and translates them into dreamy art pop, rich with layers of synths, raw rhythms, and emotive vocals.

A number of The Hague- and Netherlands-based artists are returning to the festival with new projects, these include Mark IJzerman's ‘Flounder Maps,’ ROLROLROL, and Meetsysteem & Band. Another local artist joining the line-up is Jespfur, whose hypnagogic music channels golden-era Mediafire lo-fi slacker rock, packaged for the modern era with poetic writing chops and a glistening, experimental production approach. A plethora of genre-defying and floor-shaking DJs have also just joined the line-up, these include Batu b2b JASSS (playing together for the first time), mi-el, MOESHA 13, and local heroes of the Netherlands’ dance scene Chinnamasta, Dirtydms b2b Helmond Lang, Pebblle, Yb3L, and Jasmín – hot on the heels of her stomper debut EP on Hessle Audio. And finally, Rewire is happy to announce that artist Cevdet Erek’s exhibition ‘Ꜵccident Grotesque’ at West Den Haag will be hosted as part of Rewire 2026.
