Recap: Day 1 of the Rewire 2021 - offline edition

11 Sep 2021

Thank you for joining us on a breathtaking opening night of the Rewire 2021 - offline edition. Our return to in-person events for the first time in 2.5 years didn't disappoint! We'd like to also say a big thanks to all of the artists whose incredible works and performances made the first day so special. Take a look at some of our photo highlights from the first day below, ahead of an action packed Saturday at the festival.

Ahead of the second day of the festival today, make sure you read our FAQ carefully for the most up to date info on entry and our Covid policy: https://www.rewirefestival.nl/info2021

Our day kicked off with the opening of the Proximity music programme across numerous venues in the city. The first glimpse of installations and performances from the likes of Laurie Spiegel & Mark Fell, Pelle Schilling and Hans Beckers looked amazing, make sure to check out the full programme for free over the weekend between performances. As we shifted to the evening, we saw stunning opening performances from Evelien van den Broek and Ale Hop, before Genevieve Murphy and Andrius Arutiunian took the stages at Paard and Korzo respectively. The end of the night saw Lea Bertucci treat us to two incredible performances at the Lutherse Kerk, and Pan Daijing before Lyra Pramuk took the stage at Paard for a show-stopping end to Friday night. There was plenty more on show, stay with us today for more! Check out highlights below:
