The Russian DJ and producerturns in an hour of murky, mind-expanding electronics for our second Rewire Podcast.

Cropping up on Nicolás Jaar’s Other People label back in 2014, vtgnike (pronounced vintage nike) is the alias of Russian producer Danil Avramov. Born and raised in the city of Vladimir, he’s become a formidable force in Moscow’s underground electronic avant-garde and a frequent feature of both the RAD movement and GOST ZVUK. Returning to Other People for his new album, ‘Steals’, last month, Avramov channels the record’s murky, mind-expanding electronics into a sweltering, sonic exploration for our second Rewire Podcast. Expect a shape-shifting journey fromsoulful jungle and footwork to melancholic breakbeat, experimental hip-hop and more ambient affairs.
