The globetrotting singer and producer reveals another song from her debut album ‘Ancestor Boy’, out this Friday, 22 March.
Drawing from a wealth of musical influences, Lafawndah crafts her own genre-bending take on experimental pop that meshes the traditions Middle Eastern singers and dancehall queens with modernist bass and global electronic sounds. In the run-up to the release of her full-length debut ‘Ancestor Boy’ – out this Friday, 22 March – the Egyptian-Iranian singer and producer has unveiled a trio of stunning album tracks. Following on the heels of ‘Joseph’ and ‘Substancia’ is ‘Storm Chaser’, a galvanisingcelebration of turbulence and chaotic good. In her own words, “The kind of larger- than- life force that plummets with abandon towards chaos– not to celebrate disaster, but to rebuild the present.”
Listen to ‘Storm Chaser’ and catch Lafawndah live in concert at Rewire 2019 on Friday, 29 March. Learn more about her performance atLafawndah.
