Lafawndah reveals debut album and shares new single 'Daddy'

The globetrotting singer and producer has just announced her long-awaited debut album with the alluring, bass-heavy single ‘Daddy’.

The alias of Paris-raised Egyptian-Iranian singer and producer Yasmine Dubois, Lafawndah first emerged back in 2016 with her critically-acclaimed Warp EP, Tan.Two years on, and a stunning collaboration with Midori Takada later, she’s finally announced her highly-anticipated debut album. Entitled Ancestor Boy, the album is set to be released 22 March – just a week before her Rewire 2019 performance – and features the dazzling ‘Daddy’, a richly orchestrated track with subtle percussion, lush mallets and warm vocal harmonies that’s about “legacy, family secrets, what you decide is yours and what you decide to let go.”
