Surveying the outer realms of contemporary house and techno, with ample doses of acid, electro, wave and punishing industrial, our Rewire 2017 club programme on Saturday, 1 April stretches deep into the night with no fewer than 5 live hardware sets, capped off by German turntable maverick Helena Hauff. To get you warmed up, we’ve handpicked our favourite tracks and mixes by each performing artist.
Helena Hauff
A long time resident of Hamburg’s infamous Golden Pudel Club, Helena Hauff has become one of the most revered DJ’s of her generation. An analogue freak, her eclectic all-vinyl sets are rooted in a twilight-lit area of sharp acid sounds, cold Detroit rhythmics, monolith industrial scapes and even minimalist wave atmospherics.

Kassem Mosse
Hailing from Leipzig, Kassem Mosse is the pseudonym of enigmatic German producer Gunnar Wendel. Performing live with a rotating set up of synths, keyboards and drum machines, his sets span raw, machine-driven workouts to smoggy ambient, alien noise, and swooping melodic arcs.

Aurora Halal
Aurora Halal’s unwavering commitment to crude DIY experimentation and live hardware sets have made her one of the most important figures in New York’s underground club scene. Cultivated a sound that ranges from hazy, dubbed-out techno to offbeat melodic house with a splash of acid, her shadowy and psychedelic live analog sets push her music deep into hypnotic dance floor states.
SØS Gunver Ryberg
SØS Gunver Ryber is a Danish artist, composer and acoustic fanatic who thrives in the uncompromising extremities of electronic music. Her live set is a terrifying sonic barrage of frenetic drum machines, murky drones, and walls of chaotic overdrive that aim to induce a transformative experience.
Reckonwrong
The alias of London-based newcomer Alex Peringer, upstart producer Reckonwrong has arguably released 2016’s greatest hit with ‘The Passions of Pez’. Riding earworm hooks into the nether regions of wave and soundsystem music, Reckonwrong unleashes his most potent creative energies on the dancefloor.
