Rewire and Korzo join forces and organize five dynamic evenings in which new music is central. Under the heading of Rewire X Korzo international artists and DJs are invitedto give a performance in Korzo.The first edition on 13 May presents an audiovisual live showby Tim Hecker, insupport of his new album, Love Streams. Also presented are two premieres: dance performance ShrinebyForest Swords, and a new project of Machinefabriek +Gareth Davis + film maker Karel Doing.
Tim Hecker
For a decennia, the Canadian composer Tim Hecker have remainedas questing and unclassifiableartist in the field of explorative ambient music. He is known for his intense explorations at the intersections of noise, dissonance and melody through dramatic, and sophisticated drone performances that confront listeners through their physical and emotional immediacy. Hij will return to The Hague and presents his new album Love Streams, that will be released on the 8th of April on leading label 4AD.

Forest Swords presents Shrine
Under his Forest Swords moniker English producer/artist Matthew Barnes crept into the underground consciousness in 2010 with the release of acclaimed EPDagger Paths.It was followed by the unanimously praised Engravings LP in 2013 the vanguard New York electronic labelTri Angle. In recent years he has successfully expanded his horizon, sharing his creative talents in fields such as (graphical) design, visual art, writing, and now for the first time dance. Wild Combination presents the Dutch premiere of theintimate solo dance piece Shrine,a physical and aural exploration of the human body, breath and spirit. Apowerful reclamation of the body as a tool for independence, purpose, and personal liberation.Devised and scored by Forest Swords and choreographed byCarmel Koster.
Machinefabriek & Gareth Davis
Machinefabriek (Rutger Zuydervelt) and bass clarinettist Gareth Davis are working closely together since 2009 and will release their new albumin May on the White Paddy Mountain label. The album was recorded at Studio Loos in The Hague and is a good occasion for the duo to give a live performance during the first edition ofat Korzo, including visuals by the Australian filmmaker and artist Karel Doing.Shroud Lines is the next musical step of a duo, a serene, intimate and gentle project.
Gebben
Gebben – better known as Gerben Louw – runs Wichelroede, a website that publishes a vast array of new electronic music. Together with Fallon he distributes music and related cultural items through their renowned Wichelroede-Shop. With a versatile taste in music, Gebben is always searching for new sounds to incorporate in his surprising and varied dj-sets. Gerben is also closely associated and involved with Creme Organization, home for artists such as Legowelt, and Orgue Electronique.
