The Portuguese foursome channel their double-drumming motorik into gorgeous new single ‘Madeira’.
Portuguese foursome PAUS break all the regular moulds with their unusual constellation. Comprising two drummers – the motor of the band – a bass guitar and an arsenal of synths, the quartet create elaborate textures of sound that shift between experimental psychedelia and tropical pop. For their latest album, PAUS relocated to the mid-Atlantic paradise that is Madeira. Falling in love with the stunning colours and people of their adopted home, the quartet pay tribute to the island in the new video for album cut, ‘Madeira’.
