Multi-instrumentalist Jonny Nash got his start as an artist during the 2000s when he lived in Japan. In 2014, Nash established the label Melody As Truth as an outlet for his productions, which often focus on space, silence and minimal composition. Since then he has explored the liminal moods of ambient and drone, evoking both deeply introspective and soothing feelings with his performances.
His most recent album was 2020's ‘Poe’, a meditative collaboration with Indonesian tarawangsa player Teguh Permana. For this live performance at the Rewire 2021 - online edition, recorded at the monumental Electriciteitsfabriek in Den Haag, Nash performed a set featuring a number of reinterpretations of this album, centred around guitar and tarawangsa.
