Vessel & Pedro Maia

Vessel’s sonic experiments have always transcended the four corners of the black box.Rooted in the bass-heavy sound system culture of his native Bristol, his early excursions into dub, noise and techno onOrder of NoiseandPunish, Honey revealed a unique capacity to craft epic electroacoustic narratives using his own, fabricated instruments. Three years on,the Bristol-born electronic musician and Young Echo member has undergone a radical evolution. Heavily indebted to a newfound infatuation with chamber music, his new album Queen of Golden Dogs – released to widespread acclaim in November – channels traces of his sonic signatures into an extraordinary fusion of contemporary classical instrumentation, choral arrangements, synth explosions and throbbing electronics. At Rewire x Korzo, he will transform this new masterpiece into a dizzying live audiovisual experience with the help of Portuguese visual artist and frequent collaborator Pedro Maia.

Lucy Railton

Hailed as one of the leading instrumentalists working in experimental and electronic music, British cellist and composer is a prolific collaborator whose practice is rooted in25 years of classical instrumentalism. Her solo debut , which was released to widespread acclaim in March, sources field recordings and found sounds alongside modified cello, church organs and 80s synths, and weaves them into a distinctly modern approach to the traditions of musique concrète.
