Three more names added to Rewire 2022 line-up

31 Mar 2022

One week before Rewire 2022 will finally take over the city centre in The Hague, some changes are made to the festival lineup, including the addition of three more artists to the music programme.

After presenting an impressive live set with his ensemble during the online edition of Rewire last year, The Hague-based Russian-American pianist and composer Leo Svirsky will now finally (!) perform the full version of his expansive project ‘Leo Svirsky & The River Without Banks’ for a live audience on Saturday 9 April. Created through an extensive collaborative process with a wide range of local musicians, ‘The River Without Banks’ is a transcendent work consisting of minimalist piano music and glimmers of new-age.

Friday 8 April sees the addition of Bendik Giske, an artist and saxophonist using physicality, vulnerability and endurance as his tools of expression. While employing his signature physical and hypnotic techniques, Giske also incorporates an extensive set of electronic and digital studio tools to bridge the gap between man and machine.

The prolific and celebrated artist, dj, and producer TSVI is now slated to perform a late-night dj-set on Saturday 9 April during the festival. TSVI is a seminal figure in London’s rave underground scene. As the co-founder of the UK-based record label Nervous Horizon, he’s refining the contemporary sound of highly percussive, stripped back, club music.
Meanwhile, we’re sorry to announce that the Saturday night DJ-set by Scratcha DVA won’t go through.

The discourse programme also sees a new addition. To further explore topics such as Attention, Resonance, Technology, Healing, Reverberations and Closure, that will all be part of the discourse programme theme surrounding RITUAL, we will launch the ‘RITUAL zine’ on Friday April 8 with performer, composer and improviser Kristin Norderval, sharing a sonic meditation at Page Not Found.
