Tyondai Braxton
Tyondai Braxton is an American composer and electronic musician. He has been writing and performing music under his own name and collaboratively, under various group titles, since the mid 1990’s. His music incorporates electronic and modern orchestral elements, ranging from solo pieces to large-scale symphonic works.

Ensemble Klang XL plays Professor Bad Trip
Ensemble Klang XL performs thefirst full length Dutch performance of Fausto Romitelli’s masterpiece Professor Bad Trip. The 45 minute piece was written by Romitelli aiming to emulate a bad trip on LSD. As the Los Angeles Times described it:

“Professor Bad Trip is Fausto Romitelli’s most ecstatic plunge into psychedelia and spectralism. The Doors meet –and unapologetically drown out– Pierre Boulez.”

For the occasion Ensemble Klang have joined forceswith conducter Christian Karlsen and also added some great extra musicians, from amongst others the Matangi Quartet, to the normal Klang line-up. This results into a unique ensemble that we like to call Ensemble Klang XL. Also, visual artist Meeus van Dis is joining the team to add some amazing visual effects to the stage performance.

The Void*
For several years The Void* have been developing their own sonic world at the cutting edge of ambient, live electronics, drones and postrock. The trio, consisting of Roald van Dillewijn, Eric Magnée and Tijs Ham is always looking for new expressive sounds and decided to build their own instruments to pursue them. Both software development and hardware tinkering are used to construct their own aural universe. Deep sound textures are interspersed with massive walls of sound which then revert to a fragile piano note.

With their debut album ‘Values’ The Void* take a big step forward in the search for the extremes of their unique homemade instruments. After so many days in the studio it’s now time to hit the stage. The new pieces serve as starting points to which The Void* play structured improvisations that turn into peculiar and intense performances. The result is a discordant audiovisual trip intersecting abstract electronics, improvisation and songwriting.
