Since relocating from their childhood Texas to Berlin,Lotic has rapidly emerged as one of the most important voices in avant-garde club music. A founding member of Janus, with a trio of critically-acclaimed releases to their name, Lotic’s serrated and intensely physical approach to electronic music has had a profound impact on the landscape of contemporary club culture. It should hardly come as a surprise then that four years on from the celebrated Damsel in Distress, Lotic’s official full-length debut Powerdefies all expectation. Part demonic symphony and part heavenly chorus, sees Loticweave their own voice into the mix for the very first time and stretchtheir wings into unexpected compositional realms. Having been showered in praise since its release this summer,Powerhas now been named Album of the Year by FACT.
