The rising Dutch DJ and producer turns in a trippy, disorienting and energizing hour of drum and bass, IDM and jungle for the latest instalment of Truancy Volumes mix series.

In just over a year, upsammy aka Thessa Torsing has ascended the ranks to become one of dance music’s most exciting new talents. Garnering international acclaim for her ‘Another Place’ and ‘Words R Inert’ releases, the Utrecht-based electronic musician was recently snapped up by London’s Whities imprint for a split with BFTT. In each new outing, upsammy hones dynamic blends of experimental electronics, spatial soundscapes, sci-fi techno, raging body music and intense, electro-fired workouts. In her first mix of 2019, she wields blistering drum and bass, hyper-speed IDM and never-ending jungle breaks into a relentless hour of music that reflects the sounds she’d unleash in the club.
