The Nagoya-based experimental producer returns with his new ‘ODOODO’ EP just in time for his Rewire 2019 set on Sunday, 31 March.
Part of Japan’s flourishing juke scene, Foodman is the alias of Nagoya-based experimental producer Takahide Higuchi.Harnessing bright, plastic-sounding MIDI instruments and extreme negative space minimalism,he channels his nifty juke and footwork experiments through a patchwork of offbeat minimal electronics and multicoloured sound collage. A follow-up to hiscritically-acclaimed release for New York label Palto Flats, his new Mad Decent EP ‘ODOODO’, slated for release on 29 March, features seven new tracks and a broad palette of sonic styles ranging from rhythmic ambient, dub, to trap and slow-tempo house.
