Hear the staggering first cut of Elysia Crampton’s newly-announced, self-titled album.

Since embracing her own name for her artistic efforts back in 2015, Elysia Crampton has released an album with each new calendar year. Today, the Bolivian-American electronic artist and producer unveils her fourth. Self-titled, the album extends herexploration of the historic roots of queer identity within the realms of her Aymara heritage. In her own words,“I dedicated my record to Ofelia, aka, Carlos Espinoza, who was one of the mariposas, or butterflies, who forever altered the costume of the china supay in the 1960s and 1970s, the Aymara femme devil performed by queer and trans bodies in the street festivities.”
