With each new edition of Rewire, we seek to embrace the vast and adventurous landscape of contemporary music. Anchored in three key themes – Sense of Self, Network Music,and Electronic Music Innovation – Rewire 2018 explored a wealth of new and unfamiliar sonic territory while zeroing in on the artistic practices of two pioneering artists and composers: Laurie Anderson and Tristan Perich.
From Laurie’s unforgettable finale at the Grote Kerk to the surreal augmented realities of global collective Quantum Natives, our Rewire 2018 documentary recaps the special projects and festival highlights showcased at this year’s festival. The film also features interviews with Tristan Perich, Juliana Huxtable, Jon Davies aka Kepla, Antenes, and Marija Bozinovska Jones.
