6 Essential Facts for Rewire 2017

With just a few days to go, here’s a list ofeverything you need to know for Rewire 2017.

We’re anxiously counting down the days to Rewire 2017. Kicking off at 7pm this coming Friday, 31 March, thisyear’s festival promises to be our mostextensive,adventurous and challenging to date. Knowing full well you’ll need all yourtime and energy to soak up the entireRewire programme,we’ve compiled a list ofthings you need to know for this year’s festival.

1. Tickets & Wristbands
This year’s Festival Ticket Office & Info Centre will be housed in The Grey Space – Paviljoensgracht 20. The Ticket & Info Centre is your go-tofor picking upyour Rewire wristband, purchasing festival tickets,daily updates, and any other general info you require. There’ll be Rewire staff manning the desks and ready to field your questions during opening hours on each of the festival days. Once The Grey Space closes, you’ll be able to exchange wristbands and purchase tickets at Paard.

2. Rewire Venues
Rewire 2017 takes place in 7 different venues throughout The Hague’s city centre. We’ve programmed performances in two churches, Grote Kerk and Lutherse Kerk, local pop temple Paard, contemporary music and dance theatre Korzo, and intimate venues like Prins27, Het Nutshuis and The Grey Space. The venues are all within walking distance of each other, and it shouldn’t take you morea quick stroll to get from one to the other. You can find information about each of the Rewire 2017 locations at Venues. To give you a quick overview, we’ve made a handy Google Map – nearby food spots and hotels included.

3. Rewire 2017 Timetable

4. Workshops
As part of this year’s Discourse Programme, we’ve organised a couple of workshops, including a masterclass on sound design for video games by No Man’s Sky composer Paul Weir, a music production workshop courtesy of RE:VIVE, and a TouchDesigner workshop. To attend any of these, you’ll need to register before. Capacity for the workshops is limited and they’re filling up quick, so register to ensure your spot.

5. Night trains
If you’ve travelled to The Hague from surrounding areas in the Netherlands, you’ll have no trouble getting home at night. Throughout the Rewire weekend, trains departfrom The Hague’s two main train stations – Central Station and Holland Spoor – in every direction and run approximately every 30 minutes until just after midnight.

From midnight on, trains on Friday and Saturday run every hour from Holland Spoor. On Sunday, the midnight trains leaving Holland Spoor only travel around the Randstad (Leiden, Schiphol, Amsterdam Central to Utrecht Central).

6. Rewire 2017 Hangout
If you’ve got time to kill between performances or need a little breather, join us in the Paard Foyer.We’ll be showcasing some of The Hague’s finest DJs throughout the festival weekend. Expect crate-digging salvos in all manner of genre from the likes of 751, The Social Lover, Yon Eta, Steve Motto, Wichelroede and many more. The Foyer is also home to underground and avant-garde curio shop Underbelly and their vinyl and printrarities, amerch booth, and delicious food and snacks by Kaas & Worst op Wielen.
