Pharmakon unveils new Transmission

Pitchfork

Margaret Chardietgears up for her thirdPharmakon release with first single, ‘Transmission’, a punishing maelstrom of power electronics that is the sound of our modern dystopia.

“If the real world is going to increasingly resemble a surreal one—a dystopia not of acid rain but of golden showers—why shouldn’t our music mirror that? Pharmakon, the now 10-year-old noise project of New York’s Margaret Chardiet, is an artist of our time. She makes industrial music that trembles eerily and effectively. Her upcoming album Contact, promises to be apocalyptic.”
