Forest Swords signs to Ninja Tune and unveils new single ‘The Highest Flood’.
Bursting onto the scene with acclaimed Tri Angle Records release ‘Engravings’ in 2013, Liverpool-based artist and producer Matthew Barnes has just released hisfirst Forest Swords single in over three years. ‘The Highest Flood’ sees Forest Swordsforge new pathswith his characteristically jagged choral samples and thudding dub percussion.Although details have yet to be unveiled, ‘The Highest Flood’is certainly the first taster of Forest Swords’long-rumoured new album.
Speaking of his new work, Forest Swords explained, “It’s a challenge to navigate the world we’re living in now – it’s becoming more and more important to try and steer these in a positive direction.” Needless to say, we are positively delighted to be treated to new Forest Swords material and can’t wait wade through ‘The Highest Flood’ at Rewire 2017.
