Tracey

Formed in 2024, Tracey is a London-based duo creating mutant R&B unlike anyone else. Imagine booty bass dance music lathered with a frothy layer of sardonic British playfulness; think Miami via Millwall. Their eponymous debut EP arrived as a surprise in the summer of 2025 like a lower-back tattoo after a night on the town. Although it's frontloaded with the undeniable banger "Sex life (feat. Riko Dan)," later in the EP, Tracey reveal their careful, slow, and atmospheric side: from the downtempo brilliance of "When I choose to be here with you," to the touching emo-infused R&B of closer "Take Care," Tracey are full of surprises. Followup Sleazy (2025) returns to the hyperactive dance arena, borrowing too from PC Music with its colourful acoustics and tight sample style (which, like "Sex Life," has a satisfying Benassi bounciness to its vocal chops). Raunchy yet thoughtful, bassy yet subtle, Tracey create an anomaly of sounds, likely informed by the eclectic influences they cite: among them, Kylie Minogue, Skream, and Crystal Castles.
