Sary Moussa is a musician who has been an active member of Beirut's underground scene for around two decades. Specialising in sound design and textural experimentation, Moussa's work spans drone-driven electro-acoustic compositions to dance-floor electronics. At Rewire 2026, he is joined by Julia Sabra and Abed Kobeissi to bring his 2025 record Wind, Again to life. Informed by his evolving relationships to space, listening, and resonance, the album is a colourful harmonic tapestry of fluttering sounds that are inspired by the histories its folk instruments (such as the buzuq) carry. Wild with life, Wind, Again places these instruments in a contemporary context, creating maximal soundscapes through a minimal touch. Ambience is built from layers and layers of glistening instrumentation. Pads, drones, and electronics weave with wind and string and percussive instruments to paint a vast electro-acoustic landscape. Its stuttering flourishes of sound reveal glimpses into a larger picture held just out of view: of ecosystems proliferating beneath soil, of seeds carried on strong winds to new ground. At the eye of the storm, Moussa provides gentle solace from the swirling sounds; join him there.
