Raisa K

Raisa K is a London-based songwriter, producer, and musician. Her debut full-length album Affectionately (2025) is a work of dark textural pop brimming with shoegazey noise and basked in dreamy vocals. Featuring contributions from Coby Sey and Mica Levi (with whom Raisa is a member of Good Sad Happy Bad), the album is a gritty, worn, and ever surprising collection of songs produced and written in her home. Raisa's take on lo-fi pop is dubby, gritty, and unmoored; there's an ever-present feeling that an entire song may get washed away in a sea of reverb or delay. The infectious bassline of "Tall Enough" recalls the joyous abandon of early 00s UK indie, while "Dreaming" sounds like it arrives from an alternate reality where K Records had fostered an experimental trap project. Present across Affectionately is a consistent dedication to inventive sonics which form beauty from noise and debris; like kintsugi ceramics, Raisa's voice forms the golden lining that binds these gnarled and wrinkled fragments into something gorgeously awry and vitally renewed.
