Rachika Nayar is an artist whose colossal works move between post-rock, trance, ambient, and pop; she returns to Rewire with composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Nina Keith. Nayar’s practice has been built around a deconstruction and reimagining of the sonic potentials of the electric guitar: in an ever-morphing process of transfiguration, her journey with the guitar began with the creation of fractured ambient landscapes – such as on her debut Our Hands Against the Dusk (2021) – before becoming enmeshed in a turbulent and maximalist sound-world of synths and breakup-breakbeats on follow-up Heaven Come Crashing (2022). Together, Keith and Nayar have been working on a forthcoming release on Domino’s esteemed Smugglers Way imprint. Their collaboration takes both performers into the realms of hyper-dream-pop extravagance and new-age wonder. As much star-gazing as it is shoe-gazing, Keith and Nayar’s music brims with possibilities; it is an immersive love letter to the not-yet – to each person’s eternal process of becoming. At Rewire 2025, the duo premier their new live show on European soil.
