NÆT create emotional and curious songs for imaginary friends, brimming with creativity imagery – intimate and personal on one hand, yet universal and open on the other. Above euphoric tape-saturated ambience, angelic and vulnerable vocals move between majestic R&B melodies and idiosyncratic lyricism. Drawing on influences from post-punk to trap, the frayed edges of NÆT unfurl like clothes-threads caught on branches, expanding in many directions but ever-connected by an emotive, thematic approach. NÆT’s wistful, murmured pop holds a paradoxically fantastical realism. A sense of nostalgia echoes out in the reverberating, exuberant vitality of NÆT's vocals: a nostalgia for a time that has yet to be, but which swells with potential. NÆT is a new band combining the sounds of UK-born vocalist Luke Deane with Uldis Vītols on bass synths, Rudolfs Macats on keyboards, and Ruggero Di Luisi on drums. At Rewire they are complemented by visuals from animator La China Supay.
