For this edition of our Musical Material series, we present an artist talk by New York-based DJ, producer and electronic artist Antenes. Ahead of the premiere, Antenes will discuss ‘Telegraph Music’, a unique live performance that explores the intertwined histories of electronic music and telecommunications. Commissioned by Rewire, Comm Museum and The Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision’s RE:VIVE initiative, the performance elevates a one-of-a-kind repurposed switchboard modular setup by introducing a modified telegraph key system.

Musical Material is a series of inspiring encounters on Sunday afternoons hosted by Rewire and West Den Haag, during which specialists in the fields of music, art and reflection test and discuss their work in an intimate setting.

This talk is part of the Rewire 2018 discourse programme, which can be visited free of charge.
