Inter-symmetric 7 workshop by Rian Treanor (full)

A 60-minute workshop by artist Rian Treanor that uses bespoke music software to enable real-time remote collaboration. As part of Rewire 2021, there will be an open call to develop a new collaborative performance, with an interest in exploring algorithmic, procedural composition and rule-based systems that aim to establish meaningful interactions and unusual musical outcomes.

This is an extension of a collaborative project between Rian Treanor and Mark Fell where they are developing bespoke software to enable real-time, remote participation in various forms. In response to Covid-19, they are working on several different outcomes, including workshops, live performances, installations and critical discussions called Inter-symmetric works.

Rian Treanor is a British artist whose practice focuses on using sound within live performances, installations and recorded material. Through several releases on the Planet Mu record label, he re-imagines the intersection of club culture, experimental art and computer music, presenting an insightful and compelling musical world of fractured and interlocking components.

Please note that this workshop is fully booked.
