As solo artists, Brooklyn-based Aurora Halal and Daniel Martin-McCormick are renowned for their heady live hardware shows: Halal as one of New York techno’s current stars, with Martin-McCormick formerly recording and performing as Ital. Since adopting the Relaxer moniker in 2017, Martin-McCormick has issued several EPs on his eponymous imprint as well as the dreamy ‘Coconut Grove’ album on Avenue 66. Coming together first as Ital & Halal, Halal & Relaxer is the latest iteration of an intuitive techno alliance that has evolved over the last six years from a studio-focused project into an exhilarating live collaboration. The pair also run New York festival Sustain-Release together, which Halal founded in 2014. Prepare for a high-definition psychedelic immersion at Rewire 2020.
