This delicate documentary focuses on the craftsmanship around the creation of the zampogna, a kind of bagpipe from Calabria. In doing so, it spotlights a variety of local traditions from different regions of Italy. Taking a slow, poetic approach, the film looks at the cross generational importance of musical and oral traditions and the stories, landscapes, and people who surround them and give them life.
