Ensemble Klang

OCCAM DELTA XXIII by Éliane Radigue & Carol Robinson

Éliane Radigue was a composer whose patient approach to sound reshaped how many people listen to music and the extant world beyond it. From her early electronic work with the ARP 2500 to the collaborative pieces of the Occam Ocean cycle, she chose slowness, reduction, and shared authorship. Her practice invited a form of deep listening that continues to resonate today. With the sad news of her recent passing, as a tribute to the late composer, the festival is proud to announce that the Friday programme at Rewire 2026 will be opened by Ensemble Klang, who will perform ‘OCCAM DELTA XXIII’ by Radigue and fellow composer Carol Robinson. This piece was made for and with The Hague’s Ensemble Klang, who collaborated intensively for many years on music co-signed by Radigue and Carol Robinson. Radigue's ever-evolving Occam Ocean cycle, which she developed from the early 2000s onwards after opting to part with electronic music, pursues a practice of radical collaboration with musicians and composers.
