Anna Meredith

Performing on Friday 3 April.

Scottish composer and producer Anna Meredith’s work straddles the worlds of contemporary classical music, art pop, electronica and experimental rock. Between performing clarinet and electronics in her own band (featuring players on cello, electric guitar, tuba and drums), producing installations and orchestral arrangements for Laura Marling, The Stranglers, the David Bowie prom and Sigur Ros, she regularly presents on BBC Radio3 and 6Music. Meredith has released a series of critically acclaimed albums, including a reinvention of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, titled ‘Anno’. Her latest, ‘FIBS’, is a vivacious collection of genre-crossing songs that affirms her position as one of the most innovative voices in British music.
