Environmental Listening: On being with/in place

As listeners, particularly those from white European backgrounds, it is crucial that we place ourselves, not abstractly but in very material ways, in the worlds we are listening to. Our engagement with the world is always interdependent and situated within environments and place. Listening is a way into feeling these relations. In this talk geographer and sound artist AM Kanngieser will read excerpts from their forthcoming book "Between Sound and Silence: Listening for Environmental Relations" on listening at the intersections of colonisation and ecocide.
