Melancholic and ominous: that’s how you best describe the sound of this 25-year-old-composer. She recently released her debut album Quarantine on Hyperdub, critically acclaimed by Pitchfork. Her avant-garde blend of ambient, electronic sounds and heavy danceable synths is driven forth by rhythms that could as easily originate from Africa as well as from an unknown place in our galaxy.
