Širom

Friday, 6 April

Hailing from the little Slovenian village of Lesno Brdo, Širom is the ensemble of Slovenian multi-instrumentalists Iztok Koren, Samo Kutin and Ana Kravanja. Each capable of playing more than a dozen instruments, the trio intertwine diverse musical approaches and an unbridled musical imagination to create a lush tapestry of traditional sounds. Navigating the vibrant sonic landscapes of their new album, I Can Be a Clay Snapper, Širom’s live performances shift between imagined instrumental folk and post-rock meditations, drifting from improvisation to structured composition and back again.
