With a dynamic approach to contemporary music and sonic adventure, The Hague collective Ensemble Klang have, since their 2003 formation, quickly risen to become one of the top ensembles in the Netherlands. Attracting some of today’s leading composers by virtue of their innovative programs, exciting commissions and very own record label, Ensemble Klang offer the floor to one of their own at Rewire 2017, artistic leader and guitarist Pete Harden. With his latest work ‘Precious Metals’, the British-born composer explores texture and resonance through distorted trombones and stuttering guitars. Performed live with the Ensemble Klang, ‘Precious Metals’ conjures a world of rich humming surfaces punctured by howling wild vibrations.
